Lego Ninjago Shadow of Ronin Character Preview

Hey there VitaBoys and VitaGals, did you know that Lego Ninjago Shadow of Ronin is releasing in only two weeks on the PS Vita? Well the VitaBoys were asked to do a character reveal so fans could get prepared for this awesome release, so we are doing just that. But first lets tell you a little bit about the new release.

Lego Ninjago will launch on the PS Vita on March 24th for around $29.99 as both a physical and digital release. The game will put players in the shoes/sandals of their favorite ninjas as they battle their way through their enemies. The game even adds great new vehicles like Jets and Dragons, something tells me this game is worth picking up. Now lets take a look at all the characters that will be featured in Lego Ninjago Shadow of Ronin.

    Kai
As    the    newest    addition    to    the    original    three    Ninja,    Kai    was    initially    hot-headed    and    reckless,    however
his    many    adventures    taught    him    how    to    overcome    those    traits    and    focus    his    energies,    becoming    a
strong    and    reliable    member    of    the    team.    Unfortunately    after    Ronin    steals    his    memories,    he    forgets
all    those    adventures.    Oh    well,    at    least    he    can    throw    fireballs.

    Jay
Light-hearted    and    quick-witted,    Jay    tends    to    wear    his    emotions    on    his    sleeve.    Having    been    raised    in
his    parents    Junkyard    and    gifted    with    the    elemental    power    of    lightning,    Jay    has    a    natural    affinity    for
inventing    and    building    weird    and    (supposedly)    wonderful    gadgets.    You    know    what    they    say    -    one
    man’s    junk    is    another    man’s    semi-functioning    jetpack.

    Zane
Reborn    as    “The    Titanium    Ninja”    and    re-united    with    his    friends,    Zane    is    glad    to    be    back,    but    he    often
wonders    how    he    ended    up    on    Chen’s    Island    in    the    first    place.    When    Ronin    turns    up    and    steals    the
Ninja’s    memories    with    the    Obsidian    Glaive,    Zane    is    in    for    even    more    of    a    surprise    than    the    others    –
he    forgets    he’s    a    Nindroid.    Luckily    his    new    Titanium    skin    provides    a    quick    clue.

    Cole
Strong    and    determined,    Cole    wields    the    power    of    earth.    While    the    other    Ninja    can    focus    their
elements    into    projectiles    and    beams,    Cole    is    instead    able    to    summon    earthquakes    and    create    huge
boulders    for    smashing    through    walls,    or    enemies.    His    super    strength    is    also    useful    for    lifting    and
    shifting    big    obstacles.

    Sensei    Wu
Old    and    wise,    Sensei    Wu    brought    the    Ninja    together    and    now    acts    as    their    mentor,    guiding    them    on
their    adventures    and    ensuring    they    do    not    neglect    their    training.    When    the    Ninja    lose    their
memories    and    powers,    they    need    him    more    than    ever.    While    his    wisdom    is    often    very    cryptic,    the
Ninja    are    usually    able    to    figure    out    what    it    means    and    put    it    to    good    use.

    Nya
Smart    and    resourceful,    Nya    uses    her    technological    expertise    to    build    useful    gadgets    and    awesome
vehicles    for    the    Ninja,    and    to    fight    alongside    them    as    Samurai    X.    If    the    Ninja    are    going    to    foil    Ronin’s
plans,    chances    are    they    are    going    to    need    her    help    sooner    rather    than    later.

    Lloyd    Garmadon
As    a    child    Lloyd    originally    tried    to    follow    in    the    villainous    footsteps    of    his    father,    Lord    Garmadon.    But
with    the    help    of    the    other    Ninja,    Lloyd    discovered    his    true    destiny    as    the    Green    Ninja,    defeated    the
evil    Overlord    and    returned    his    father    to    the    side    of    good.    Although    he    has    saved    Ninjago    many    times,
foiling    Chen’s    plan    came    with    a    heavy    price    and    Lloyd    has    temporarily    left    the    group    to    meditate
alone    in    the    Golden    Peaks.    He    has    promised    to    return    if    Ninjago    ever    needs    him.

    Master    Chen
Although    well-known    in    Ninjago    City    for    his    chain    of    highly    successful    noodle    restaurants,    Chen    is
actually    a    crime-lord    who    runs    a    vast    criminal    empire    from    his    personal    island.    As    maniacal    and
power-hungry    as    he    is    devious    (and    with    a    penchant    for    the    theatrical)    Chen    hosted    the    grand
“Tournament    of    Elements”,    but    much    like    his    noodle    business,    this    was    just    a    cover    for    a    much
    darker    plan.
Master    Chen    and    his    henchmen    are    unlockable    Free    Play    characters    in    LEGO    Ninjago:    Shadow    of
    Ronin.

    Frakjaw
Frakjaw    is    a    member    of    the    Skulkin,    a    skeleton    army    from    the    Underworld    who    once    battled    the
Ninja    alongside    Lord    Garmadon.    Infamous    among    his    kind    as    an    incessant    blabbermouth,    he    makes
up    for    his    unfortunate    social    failings    with    his    unique    fighting    style    –    swinging    a    chain    mace.
Frakjaw    and    the    Skullkin    are    unlockable    Free    Play    characters    in    LEGO    Ninjago:    Shadow    of    Ronin.

    Skales
Although    once    a    sworn    enemy    of    the    Ninja,    Skales    has    retired    from    villainy    and    become    a    family
man.    Well,    family    snake.    He    and    the    other    Serpentine    swore    to    live    a    peaceful    life    underground    and
never    return    to    the    surface,    so    when    the    Ninja    come    under    attack    from    Rattlecopters,    it    quickly
becomes    apparent    that    they    are    under    Ronin’s    influence.
Skales    and    the    Serpentine    are    unlockable    Free    Play    characters    in    LEGO    Ninjago:    Shadow    of    Ronin.

    General    Cryptor
Cryptor    was    the    leader    of    the    Nindroids,    a    robotic    Ninja    army    created    by    Cryus    Borg    under    the    evil
influence    of    the    Overlord.    As    the    most    advanced    and    powerful    Nindroid,    Cryptor    was    arrogant    and
condescending    towards    the    Ninja,    right    up    until    he    and    the    other    Nindroids    were    destroyed    by    Zane.
General    Cryptor    and    the    Nindroids    are    unlockable    Free    Play    characters    in    LEGO    Ninjago:    Shadow    of
    Ronin.
