The popular magical JRPG, FAIRY TAIL, developed by Gust Studios, has officially been delayed several months. Confirmed via Koei Tecmo America in an announcement today, FAIRY TAIL has been delayed until June 26, 2020 for the Nintendo Switch placing it a single day behind the launch for PC which releases June 25.
In an announcement today, Producer Keisuke Kikcuhi apologized to fans of FAIRY TAIL, saying:
“I am truly sorry for FAIRY TAIL’s delay, and the inconvenience caused to our fans, partners, and stakeholders who are looking forward to this title. Please allow us to take further time to polish the game to ensure it is as high quality as possible, so we can offer you a truly immersive experience. We will be working hard to enhance the magic effects, event scene effects, improving the game balance, and more! We will talk about the improvements in more detail in the coming months. This delay will allow us to ensure we provide you a much more satisfying game. Thank you for your understanding.”
FAIRY TAIL is just the latest in a long line of delays for the Nintendo Switch. The trend, while disliked by most Switch fans, comes with an understanding that delays can prevent what could otherwise be a great title, from becoming a flop in an ocean of amazing Switch titles.
