Sony Is Now Viewing The Playstation Vita As An Accessory Than A Standalone Console

After what is being considered by many to be one of Sony's biggest E3 debacles with regards to the Playstation Vita, Sony has announced they will approach the Vita in a different way.

SCEA President Andrew House spoke in length about the current sony consoles in an interview prior to the Sony press conference. Based upon his words, it seems as if Sony basically is almost completely changing the way they view the PS Vita.

Andrew House was quoted as saying "We've taken a more holistic view with our platforms. With remote play, Vita has now essentially, become an extender or an enhancer for the main platform for other rooms in the house, or when someone else wants to use the main screen"

Andrew House went on to speak about marketing the device to a younger audience, and embracing the Indie scene more. This news is beyond disappointing for every PS Vita owner. The system was launched to allow players to play PS3 quality games on the go, not to be an "enhancer for the main platform." Let us know what you think in the comments below.
